Million-dollar homes were selling fast in the early months of the year, before all home sales and showings were brought to a screeching halt in March and April due to the pandemic.
But pent-up demand and in some cases a desire to find a new home that better met the needs of the work-from-home pandemic reality sent high-end home sales up, up, up beginning in June.
Through mid-November, more than 130 seven-digit home sales were recorded in the Leads section of the Business Times. That would pace the year to break the record set in 2018 when 145 such home sales were recorded. In 2018, there were 14 million-dollar home sales in November and December. This year, there had already been 12 such sales recorded in the first two weeks of November.
