WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Halloween events will resume at Kennywood Park this year with a new festival called Phantom Fall Fest.
The amusement park will be holding “Play all Day, Fright at Night” events on weekends in October, officials announced Friday.
The park will be open during the day for family-friendly fun, including food festivals and rides. The park will remain open for those who dare to face the haunts at night.
It will add 15 extra operating days to the 2021 season.

“For the first time ever, Kennywood will be open all day and well into the evening on Saturdays and Sundays in October, plus Friday evenings,” Kennywood General Manager Mark Pauls said in a release.
There will be treats as well. Phantom Fall Fest will debut a new food and drink menu. Guests will find turkey legs, pumpkin funnel cakes, seasonal beers and more. Of course, you can still get the Potato Patch fries.
When the sun goes down, you’ll have five haunted houses, four scare zones and more to choose from.
Phantom Fall Fest operates every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1 to 31. The park will be open from 6 – 11 p.m. on Fridays, 12 – 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 12 – 10 p.m. on Sundays.
