PITTSBURGH — Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who is suspected of hitting and pushing a horse from the Pittsburgh Police Mounted Unit during a protest downtown.

The incident happened during a protest on May 30, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Damage Assessment and Accountability Taskforce at DAAT@Pittsburghpa.gov or call 412-323-7800.

“The Damage Assessment and Accountability Taskforce comprised of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, continues to analyze video, photos, and information in an effort to identify individuals who committed criminal acts during the primarily peaceful demonstrations in the city,” a news release said.
