PITTSBURGH — The ramp from the Highland Park Bridge to northbound Route 28 closed Monday morning at 7 a.m., and is expected to stay closed for several months.
The closure is to accommodate reconstruction work, bridge rehabilitation, sound wall construction, and drainage improvements on the ramp.
PennDOT said the works will take about 3 months to complete. It plans on keeping things closed until about late-June.
The ramp’s closure will impact a lot of people coming and going from the city and the East End. The ramp is also not far from the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.
