PITTSBURGH — The Heinz History Center, along with the city of Pittsburgh, will celebrate “1-4-3 Day” and Mister Rogers by selling Kindness Zone street signs and magnets.
Starting Thursday, three different versions of the sign will be sold at its Museum shop on Smallman Street in the Strip District or in its History Center online shop.
Prices range from $3.95 for the weatherproof stickers to $44.95 for the replica street signs.

The Kindness Zone signs were installed in dozens of locations around Pittsburgh in 2019, including one outside of the History Center.
All proceeds from the Kindness Zone signs, which are produced by the History Center at no cost to the city, will benefit the museum’s educational programs and exhibitions.

May 23 will be “1-4-3 Day” in Pennsylvania, encouraging people — as Pittsburgh’s Fred Rogers did — to show more kindness and gratitude to one another.
Rogers used 1-4-3 as a way of saying “I love you,” based on the number of letters in each word, on his TV show, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
May 23 is the 143rd day of the year.
