Home used in ‘Silence of the Lambs’ sold

PERRYOPOLIS — The Fayette County home that appeared in the 1991 thriller “The Silence of the Lambs” has a new owner.

The house, located at 8 Circle Street in Perryopolis, was used as Buffalo Bill’s home in the film.

According to an Instagram post by the realtor who sold the home, within two weeks of it being listed, six offers had come in and several were from out-of-state movie fans.

The home was listed for sale for $298,500.

“We are so excited for what the buyers have planned for the home, and we can’t wait to share the details with you later this week,” realtor Eileen Allan said in the post. “Stay Tuned Movie Fans... you are going to love what’s planned for the home!!”
