Human remains found in Penn Hills, police say

PENN HILLS, Pa. — Human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area in Penn Hills on Sunday afternoon and investigators are calling the circumstances around the remains “suspicious.”

The Allegheny County Police homicide unit responded to a request for assistance around 3:40 p.m. on Brushton Avenue.

Homicide detectives and the medical examiner are investigating.
