According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, the FBI, East Lampeter Township Police Department and Pennsylvania State Police located the remains Wednesday while searching for 18-year-old Linda Stoltzfoos. Officials said the remains were found in a rural part of the county and will be turned over to the coroner’s office for official identification.
Justo Roberto Smoker has been charged with criminal homicide in Stoltzfoos’ disappearance. Her abduction was caught on security camera footage near her home. She was reported missing on Father’s Day last year when she didn’t return home after a church service. Pieces of her clothing were found buried in a wooded area, and Smoker’s DNA profile was found on one of her stockings.
A judge ruled in March that there was enough evidence for Smoker to be held without bail and for a trial to move forward.
