The ride honors fallen police officer Brian Shaw, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop in November 2017.

The ride raises money for scholarships in Officer Shaw’s name. It helps future officers attending the Allegheny County Police Academy.
This year, because of the pandemic, there was a limit on the number of people who could participate, but still tickets were sold out.
“I understand that they tried to follow the guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth. And respect that that’s why the registration was restricted,” said Chris Tantlinger of Greensburg.
This is the third year for the Officer Shaw Memorial Ride and it’s expected to continue in the years to come.
