Thousands of Philadelphia-area natives attend the universities in the neighborhood, and many of them gathered on Forbes Avenue and elsewhere to bask in the glow of an NFL championship in a microcosm of the public parties throughout eastern Pennsylvania.
Police said the celebrations were spontaneous but civil, and no injuries, arrests or damage were immediately reported.
