Hundreds of people in several western Pennsylvania communities are without power Monday morning.
West Penn Power is reporting outages in several counties, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland. Estimates for when power will be restored in many communities are not until Monday evening.
Duquesne Light is also reporting outages throughout Allegheny and Beaver counties caused by high winds.
“Crews have been working around the clock to make repairs and restore power to all those affected by the severe weather. Most of the remaining customers are expected to be restored by noon today,” a Duquesne Light spokesperson said.
