LANCASTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A crash that closed Interstate 79 in Butler County for most of the morning Friday has been cleared.
The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. in Lancaster Township.

At one point, I-79 was shut down in both directions between Zelienople and Portersville. I-79 didn’t completely reopen until about 11 a.m.
Route 19 was an alternate route, but there were delays there as well.
