PITTSBURGH — The inbound lanes of the Fort Pitt Bridge are closed Saturday night after a man climbed onto it, officials said.
Shortly before 9 p.m., Pittsburgh Public Safety tweeted about the closure.
Police were on the upper deck of the bridge because of the incident. Officials said the man who climbed onto the structure was “in crisis.”
The man jumped from the bridge and died, officials said.
Pittsburgh Public Safety were in the process of reaching the individual in crisis. The male jumped from the structure and was pronounced. The Pennsylvania State Police will handle the investigation. https://t.co/RLePCqhxzT
