West Mifflin, Pa. — Kennywood is looking into a ride malfunction at the park Friday.
Kennywood officials told Channel 11 the Pirate Ship ride operated longer than it should and one rider claimed to have passed out.
Emergency protocols were immediately put into place, officials said.

Paramedics were called to check everyone who was on the ride. Everyone appeared to be okay, officials said.
The ride was shut down and an inspection was planned for Saturday, officials said.
It’s too early to determine what may have caused the issue with the ride.
Kennywood is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until Dec. 23 for its annual Holiday Lights display.
