PITTSBURGH — A tractor-trailer jackknifed on Pittsburgh’s Fort Pitt Bridge early Tuesday morning, blocking outbound traffic for several hours.
The accident was reported shortly after 4 a.m. on the lower level of the bridge.

Crews were able to remove the truck about 5:30 a.m., but all lanes heading toward the Fort Pitt Tunnel and Parkway West remain blocked until about 7 a.m.
Officials said the driver apparently lost control while merging from the “bathtub” area of Interstate 376 and fishtailed into the barricades. No one was hurt.
