WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Kennywood Park and Idlewild & SoakZone will close after Labor Day, the company announced on its website Thursday.
Park officials said they decided to stop operating for the season on Labor Day, Monday Sept. 7, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company previously announced, Kennywood would not be holding its annual Halloween Fright Nights and its annual Christmas Holiday Lights display.

The company said guests will have new attractions to look forward to next season, such as the completion of Steelers Country, which is part of the Steel Curtain roller coaster.

The company is also extending its season passes for both parks through 2021 and is offering tickets through the remainder of this season at 50% off the regular price.
