Key Bank Pavilion adds new security measures ahead of Wednesday's concert

BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. — The KeyBank Pavilion has added new security measures for Wednesday night's Mumford & Sons concert after

killed 22 people on Monday.

On Wednesday, K-9 unit Obey, a new member of the Washington County Sheriff's Office, was sweeping all of the pavilion. The plan is to sweep the pavilion before the Mumford & Sons concert and again on Thursday before the Future concert.

Officers at the Hanover Township Police Department requested the sweep as a way to be proactive after the terror attacks overseas. KeyBank Pavilion officials said they are implementing other security measures as well.

"In light of what's occurred recently around the world, they are absolutely stepping up their game, making sure people are comfortable attending and being near the facility tonight," said Officer Kristie Salzman, of the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

On Tuesday, the Washington Wild Things announced they will triple security at their minor-league ballpark for a

featuring Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert and others, and organizers expect more than 5,000 people to attend, according a team spokesman.
