CORAOPOLIS, Pa. — Young children were left alone, sitting along a busy road, while their mother was inside a bar, police said.
Police are crediting witnesses for keeping the two children safe on Fourth Avenue on Monday night.
Tonight on Channel 11 News at 11 p.m., we are working to talk to Taylor about what happened.
Their mother, Jennifer Taylor, is facing criminal charges of neglect for leaving her 5-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son while, police say, she went into a bar across the street.

"Just sitting on the side of the road waiting for her," said Holly Macbeth, who saw the children there, trying to get their mother's attention. "He's yelling across the street, 'Mommy, Mommy, I love you.' She's waving back at them."
Police said they escorted Taylor out of the bar and wrote in the criminal complaint she was "visibly under the influence" and was walking "with an unsteady gait."
Channel 11 learned Taylor allegedly told police her 17-year-old son was watching the children, but witnesses told police the children were alone.
Taylor pleaded guilty to child neglect five years ago and was given one year of probation.
