Kiski Township police find drugs in two hidden compartments of car

KISKI TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police found drugs in two hidden compartments of a car stopped in Kiski Township.

The car was stopped along Route 56 for a traffic violation on Tuesday afternoon.

James Higgins, 41, of Apollo, and Autumn Rogers, 21, of Leechburg were inside the car during the stop. That was when police discovered that Higgins was wanted in Allegheny County on drug charges. Police found pills and money on him, according to authorities.

Police searched the car and found two hidden compartments which contained 50 bags of heroin, along with an ounce of methamphetamine.

Several drug charges were filed against both Higgins and Rogers.

Higgins is in the Allegheny County Jail awaiting extradition to Armstrong County. Police are still searching for Rogers. If you know where she is, you are asked to call the police.
