Investigators confirmed there was a landslide in Washington County Saturday.
Trees, rocks and debris slid down a hillside off of Route 837 in Elrama, and “a portion of the road” is covered, investigators said.
Calls came in to 911 operators at 12:25 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators said the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will clear the debris and determine the stability of the hillside.

Route 837 will remain closed in both directions – from Finleyville Elrama Road to Coal Bluff Road – until PennDOT clears the road.
The overnight rain storms that swept through Western Pennsylvania may have caused the landslide to occur.
No injuries were reported.
