Large drug bust, including $1.4M in fentanyl, at Braddock home leads to man’s arrest

BRADDOCK, Pa. — A large drug bust led to the arrest of a man in Braddock, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office announced Thursday.

Search warrants were executed at 37-year-old Domonique Taylor’s home on Moody Street and a nearby garage and trailer on March 11, leading to the discovery of multiple drugs, guns, vehicles and more than $545,000 in cash.

Here’s a breakdown of what investigators said was found:

• Approximately 14 kilograms, or 700,000 individual doses of fentanyl
• One kilogram of cocaine
• Marijuana
• Six vehicles
• Six guns
• $545,738 in cash

The street value of the fentanyl is $1.4 million, according to the attorney general’s office, which called the bust “one of the largest fentanyl seizures by the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation under the Shapiro administration.”

The defendant was not only pushing dangerous poisons into our communities, he was a big time drug dealer in our communities,” said Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro.

According to investigators, Taylor owned several properties and businesses which he used to launder drug money.

The ongoing investigation into Taylor, a convicted felon, began in August 2021, officials said. Convicted felons are not legally allowed to have guns.

Police in Monroeville, Penn Hills, Elizabeth Township, Munhall and Wilkinsburg worked alongside the attorney general’s office over the course of the investigation.
