PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh’s Light Up Night will be back for 2021 after last year’s event was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Typically held on the Friday before Thanksgiving, this year’s event will be held on that Saturday instead -- which is Nov. 20. Organizers said that decision was made to minimize inconvenience, detours and traffic.
Light Up Night’s 60th anniversary will include holiday festivities including tree lightings, live music, craft foods, shopping, music and a fireworks finale.
Meanwhile, the 10th anniversary of the Holiday Market will kick off Friday. To coincide with that, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership plans to launch a Friday night restaurant and shopping promotion.
Additional information on activities and attractions will be announced at a later time.
