LIGONIER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A staple in Ligonier Township is shutting down for good.
The swimming pool along historic Lincoln Highway has been open for more than 90 years.
The family that owns the property said there wasn’t enough time to make repairs after the flooding earlier in the year.

We reached out to the owners again on Wednesday as rumors swirled in the community about the future of the beach beyond this summer. We didn't hear back.
The former owner told Channel 11 new and changing regulations made it difficult to run the business.
The township was as surprised as the public.
"It's a historic site, been around since 1925. It's had big names that sang there and played there so it is a surprise and it’s something we were just as surprised as anybody," Ligoneir Township Manager Terry Carcella said.
In its heyday, it attracted the likes of Dean Martin and Perry Como.
While some neighbors would like to see it return as is, the future remains uncertain.
