PITTSBURGH — The line to apply for a license to carry a firearm was wrapped around the Allegheny County Courthouse Friday.
The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office, who processes the licenses, posted photos on Facebook. They also wanted to let people know about the long wait times.

The wait time for License to Carry is rather long today.

To apply for a new license to carry a firearm, or a renewal or replacement, applicants need to print out and complete an application from its website. You’ll also need your Pennsylvania identification and $20.
The firearms division of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s office is also responsible for issuing licenses to sell firearms.
