Local 79-year-old woman found safe after not returning home from shopping trip

DILLTOWN, Pa. — Nancy C. Smith, 79, of Dilltown, PA, who was reported missing yesterday evening, was located and found to be safe.

She was reported missing by her family after she never returned home from a shopping trip Monday evening, Pennsylvania State Police said Tuesday morning.

Shortly before 4 p.m., someone recognized Smith’s vehicle traveling in Allegheny County and contacted 911. With assistance from the Ross Township Police Department, Smith was located and found to be safe.

Smith was believed to be driving a blue 2014 Toyota RAV4 with Pennsylvania license plate EWA-4052.
