WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A Pittsburgh hospital worker is in the Allegheny County Jail, charged with raping and sexually assaulting a patient.

An employee of LifeCare Hospital, a mental health facility in Wilkinsburg, contacted Channel 11 about the arrest of a fellow worker. She agreed to talk to us on the condition she remain anonymous.

According to the criminal complaint, a former female patient of the hospital accused Adesile Solawon, 56, of repeatedly forcing her to have sex with him.

The victim alleges the abuse happened when Solawon would "sneak into her designated room" after a nurse gave her a sleep aid.

TRENDING NOW:

The victim told police that Solawon told her "to keep what was happening a secret."

According to the complaint, the patient told Solawon she was having anxiety. That's when he allegedly walked over to her and began rubbing her neck and behind while saying, "This will help you sleep."

In the complaint, the patient told police she tried to leave the room, but Solawon blocked her and only left when she began to get loud. She later took her concerns to hospital staff.

Channel 11 contacted LifeCare Health Partners, the Texas-based company that operates the hospital, and were told there was no one locally that could respond to our inquiries tonight.

Solawon is expected in court on Thursday.
