WEXFORD, Pa. — An Allegheny County orchard was named among the best in the United States for apple picking.
According to thedailymeal.com, Soergel Orchards in Wexford made the list for the numerous apple varieties it has available from July through November. Additionally, the garden center, bakery and gift shop help it stand apart from other operations.
As of last Friday, the orchard said apple picking was closed for the season and the pumpkin patch would be open following Halloween weather permitting. The annual Fall Festival was also canceled this year due to COVID-19.
The store and apple orchard can be found along I-79 north of Pittsburgh.
