Local sanitation worker makes little boy’s day

It’s apparent that during hard times, the Pittsburgh region always comes together to help one another.

Local sanitation worker makes little boy’s day

A sanitation worker in Jefferson Hills made a little boy’s day Tuesday.

A local mom, Jennifer Urasek, said the sanitation worker beeps to her son every week.

This week, he stopped and gifted him his own garbage truck and Waste Management hat.

The woman said it was the highlight of her son’s day, adding the worker is such a nice man to the entire community and she appreciates the act of kindness.

200 families benefit from baby supply distribution

A non-profit group called Beverly’s Birthdays held a distribution for things like formula, diapers and wipes.

The supplies were delivered or available for pickup.

“I will continue to wake up saying how can we help because lets be a part of the solution together and thats keeping each other safe, healthy and well, and that includes our little babies in our community," said Megs Yunn, founder of Beverly’s Birthdays.

The non-profit group hosts birthday parties for kids who live in homeless shelters.
