Lt. Gov. Fetterman files procedural paperwork for possible U.S. Senate run in 2022

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman has taken the next step to potentially run for U.S. Senate in 2022.

Procedural paperwork was filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission.

Fetterman, a Democrat, announced in January he was exploring the possibility of a Senate run.

Fetterman told Channel 11 he is not yet announcing a run for Senate.

If Fetterman were to run, it would be for the seat that Sen. Pat Toomey, a Republican, will vacate when he leaves office next year.
