PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police arrested a man accused of assaulting a police horse and vandalizing a cop car during protests last month.
According to court documents, Raekwon Blankenship, 24, is facing several charges – including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, cruelty to animals, rioting and criminal mischief.

Police said Blankenship was involved in the protest that turned violent in downtown Pittsburgh on May 30.
Investigators didn’t release details about what Blankenship specifically did or how they identified him.
He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
