PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh man was arraigned Thursday morning on charges related to child abuse, after police said he punched his 10-year-old son in the chest and caused him to have seizures.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by Channel 11 News, the incident happened in June 2016 when the boy was visiting 32-year-old Steven Jenkins' home on Deary Street in Lincoln-Lemington.

Police said the boy was trying to stop his father from hitting his twin 4-year-old brothers when his father punched him.
The boy fell backward into a wall and hit the back of his head, the complaint said.
According to the complaint, the boy told police that Jenkins “calls me weak, says I’m soft, says I’m a girl.” The boy told police that his father has hit him with his fist and with a belt, the complaint said.
Jenkins faces charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person.
