Man accused of trying to run his estranged wife off the road

Only Channel 11 got a photo of the man accused of ramming his car into another car driven by his estranged wife.

State police say Greg Beer tried to run his wife off the road.

Troopers charged him with aggravated assault and showed only Channel 11 the car they say he used as a weapon.

You can see in the tweet above the Ford Focus has heavy front-end damage.

Troopers said around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Beer took to Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, got behind his wife's car and started following her.

According to the criminal complaint, the two are separated. She was in the vehicle with her boyfriend.

Police say the suspect followed his estranged wife for 2 miles down a busy road, ramming her car a number of times.

But it didn't end there, the victims pulled over to a safe spot in a gas station parking lot.

Troopers say Beer followed and intentionally drove into her vehicle several more times before running from the scene.

According to the criminal complaint, Beer went directly home. Troopers found him inside, his damaged car in the driveway.
