Man admits to multiple robberies in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police tracked down a robbery suspect who then admitted to a crime spree.

Nicolas Ellis was arrested Saturday after a robbery at the Rite Aid on Forbes Avenue.

While he was being interviewed, according to police, he confessed to other robberies over the past three days at gas stations on North Craig Street, Banksville Road and West Liberty Avenue.

Ellis is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
