SWISSVALE, Pa. — A 53-year-old Swissvale man was arrested and charged in connection with a Christmas Eve shooting involving six people.
According to investigators, Jacques Washington was determined to be the person responsible for the incident.
Police said at around 4:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, County 911 was notified of gunshots in the 7300 block of Schoyer Avenue in Swissvale. First responders found six adults who had been shot.
Detectives learned two of the victims had fired weapons, including Washington.
“It’s terrifying,” said neighbor Shawn Alfonso Wells at the time of the shooting. “You would hope that nobody loses a family member right now.”
At about 3 p.m. Monday, Washington was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
He was charged with two counts of criminal attempt homicide and five counts of aggravated assault.
