MCKEESPORT, Pa. — A man is in jail after police said he tried to lure two children into his car in McKeesport.
Carlos Levy told investigators he doesn’t live in McKeesport but was in the area trying to find his brother who he claimed is addicted to drugs. However, police didn’t buy it, and now Levy is behind bars at the Allegheny County Jail.

Channel 11′s Michele Newell spoke with one of the victims and her mother about the traumatic incident. We are not revealing the child’s name.
Krista Wampler, the 10-year-old girl’s mother, said her daughter came home looking distraught and her shoes were missing. The child then told her mother she was almost kidnapped.
In a video that was captured by a neighbor’s Ring doorbell security system, you can see the two girls -- ages 10 and 7 -- walking down Ross Street in McKeesport. Shortly after, one of the girls is seen frantically running as a red car drives behind her.
Before that happened, Wampler’s daughter said she was outside playing with her 7-year-old cousin. A man -- later identified as Levy -- approached them and asked for directions to a nearby store and then offered the children some money.
According to police, Levy then exposed himself and tried to grab both girls.
“He almost grabbed my cousin, and I told her to run because if I didn’t tell her to run, she would’ve gotten grabbed up,” the child said.
Police later tracked down Levy and arrested him.
