Man arrested in connection to deadly motorcycle crash

ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Elizabeth Township police chief credits the hard work of the traffic reconstruction team to get to Tuesday’s arrest.

Fifty-year-old Abulhamid Almansouri was taken into custody Tuesday morning at his McKeesport home.

Almansouri is charged with vehicular homicide among other charges after he drove his van into two motorcyclists on McKeesport Road. The crash happened on Halloween last year and Christina Bocan of Irwin died from her injuries, while the other victim lost his leg.

While police talked to Almansouri at the scene that day, he told officers his equipment malfunctioned, which turned out not to be true.

“Further investigation by the reconstruction team that is headed by one of our sergeants and another officer with South Park Regional team. The science told another story which led to our arrest today,” said Elizabeth Township Police Chief Kenneth Honick.

Almansouri is currently awaiting his preliminary hearing behind bars at the Allegheny County Jail.
