BIG BEAVER — A man was arrested, and police are searching for two others in connection with a homicide and fire investigation in Beaver County.

The Beaver County coroner was called to the scene in the 1000 block of Shenango Road in Big Beaver shortly after flames broke out around 6 a.m.

While firefighters got the blaze under control, they found the victim -- identified as Rolando Contreras, 26, of Moon Township -- dead inside the home. The coroner told Channel 11 he had multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.

Police did not specify how the man was killed, or what caused the fire.

“Supposedly someone was shot and they started a fire to cover it up,” neighbor Sherry Slem said.

Later Sunday morning, investigators confirmed police were looking for a vehicle and two people, Ana Cecelia de Mireles, 43, and Raul Manuel Rivera-Arroyo, both of Big Beaver in connection with the incident. A BOLO went out for a green 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck with a Texas license plate. Mireles and Rivera-Arroyo are believed to have fled the the area and are believed to be armed and dangerous.

Police did arrest Eder Gomez Ernesto Ramos, 23, of Aliquppa in connection with the incident. Ramos is in the Beaver County Jail.

All three are facing several charges including arson, aggravated assault and abuse of a corpse.

Investigators said anyone with information about what happened is asked to call police.

Neighbors are surprised something like this would happen in their community.

“We are a quiet country community here. Everybody knows everybody. Our neighbors have chickens,” Slem said.
