The DA’s office said Smith Township police were dispatched to a home on Colony Road on Dec. 30 for a medical emergency involving a 6-month-old baby.

The next day, on New Year’s Eve, the baby was taken to Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia. He was then flown to Children’s Hospital, where he died.
