BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — A New Brighton man was charged with attempted homicide after a shooting in Beaver County early Sunday morning.
Police said Raheem Beal, 30, of New Brighton, was arrested and charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, persons not to possess firearms and recklessly endangering another person after the shooting just after midnight near the intersection of 16th Street and 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls.
Beaver Falls police said a man approached officers and was found to have been shot. He was taken by medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment.
Beal was arraigned and is being held in the Beaver County Jail after bail was set at $500,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 23.
