Man charged with homicide in shooting death of older brother

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man has been charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of his older brother last month in Hopewell Township.

Police said Michael Allen J. Barbuto is accused of shooting and killing Vincent Shawn Barbuto at a home on West Main Street on July 15. Vincent Barbuto was declared dead at the scene by the Beaver County Coroner’s Office and the cause of death was listed as multiple gunshot wounds.

Michael Barbuto was 18 at the time of the killing.

Investigators said they issued an arrested warrant and are in contact with Michael Barbuto’s attorney to schedule his surrender and arraignment.
