WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — A man is facing several charges after police say he inappropriately touched two underage girls on a Kennywood ride.
Miguel Moises Corio-Marcos, 22, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two counts each of felony corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, misdemeanor indecent assault, one count each of misdemeanor resisting arrest and escape, two summary counts of harassment and one summary count of disorderly conduct, after an incident at Kennywood on Tuesday.
According to West Mifflin police, Corio-Marcos touched the two girls, ages 14 and 15, while on one of the rides.
Marcos touched one of the girls on her thigh then extended his hands into her inner thigh, police said. At one point the girls started screaming at him and one of them told police she even felt the need to kick him for fear of her safety.
Police said the girls moved twice and yelled at him before he left.
After getting off the ride, one of the girls took a photo and showed it to police.
When officers attempted to arrest him, Corio-Marcos took off running through the metal detectors and ticket sales window and into the parking lot, before he was taken into custody, according to police.
He is currently held in the Allegheny County Jail on $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 24.
In a statement, Kennywood General Manager Mark Pauls said the park is assisting police with their investigation.
“The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority. Kennywood has a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior. We would like to thank the guests for reporting this incident, and commend Park Security staff and West Mifflin police for their swift response to immediately conduct a search, identify the suspect and bring him into custody.”
