Man in critical condition after being shot in face in South Side

PITTSBURGH — A man in his 20s was rushed to the hospital after he was shot in the face on Pittsburgh’s South Side.

Police received a ShotSpotter alert for the 1500 block of Bingham Street at around 9:30 p.m., where they found shell casings and a blood trail.

Police said the victim ran toward the 1400 block of East Carson Street for help. That’s where officers said they found him.

The victim told police he was shot on Bingham street. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

At this time, there are no suspects.

East Carson Street between 14th and 15th streets was closed while police investigate.
