Man taken to hospital after shooting in Northview Heights

PITTSBURGH — A man is in critical condition after a shooting early Monday in the Northview Heights section of Pittsburgh.

Police were alerted by a ShotSpotter notification of several shots being fired just after midnight on Mount Pleasant Road.

When officers got there, they found a man shot several times. He was taken to the hospital.

A Channel 11 crew saw several officers searching the neighborhood and talking with neighbors.

Investigators hope that surveillance video and witnesses can help them find a suspect.
