PITTSBURGH — A man is accused of dousing a woman and one of his children with lighter fluid at a home in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood, police said.
The incident happened early Sunday morning at the home on Bergman Street.
Jorden Dotson, 29, allegedly covered the woman and his 10-year-old son in the lighter fluid because the woman didn’t want him to take Xanax, according to a criminal complaint.
As he left, he threatened to shoot up the house.
The woman and child were checked out by paramedics and were OK.
Investigators said five children were in the house at the time. Two of the children are Dotson’s, and three of them are the woman’s.
Dotson is charged with endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.
Dotson was arrested shortly after the incident and was booked at the Allegheny County Jail.
