PITTSBURGH — A man was found shot to death after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a house in the Beltzhoover neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
The incident occurred just before 11:45 p.m. in the 800 block of Bernd Street, police said.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification, and then a 911 call for a vehicle crashing into a house. When they got on scene they found the male driver had suffered a gunshot wound before the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other passengers were in the vehicle, police said.
Police are investigating.
The homeowner reported that he heard the car accelerating then drive over the grass, narrowly missing his family member’s car, running over a bush before crashing into the house that he uses for storage.
