Man dead after 3 people start shooting outside apartment in Allegheny County

McKEESPORT, Pa. — A man was shot to death outside an apartment building in McKeesport late Monday night, police said.

The shooting was reported just before 11:30 p.m. outside building 47 at the Crawford Village housing complex.

When police and paramedics got to the scene, they found the 54-year-old man dead. He had been shot multiple times.

Surveillance video showed the victim, George Brosey of West Mifflin, walking up the stoop of an acquaintance’s apartment and being shot by a man who approached from between buildings 47 and 48, according to investigators. Two other men who were standing about 200 feet away on Pirl Street also fired in the direction of the Brosey.

Police have not determined why Brosey was targeted.

Neighbors were kept back as investigators taped off the area and gathered evidence.
