MUNHALL, Pa. — A man was shot and killed on Route 837 in Munhall, while a woman was found shot several times on the Rankin Bridge.
According to police, at 3:23 a.m. Monday, a state police trooper was driving and heard gun shots in the 900 block of 8th Avenue, Munhall.
Troopers spotted a car fleeing the area and stopped the vehicle on the Rankin Bridge. Inside the vehicle they found a 25-year-old woman shot multiple times. The woman was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Homestead Police checked the 900 block of East 8th Avenue (Rt. 837) and discovered a man dead on scene. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Tirae Terrance Bernard, 25, of Pittsburgh.
Homicide detectives with the Allegheny County Police are investigating. The road was closed down for police activity while police investigated.
