Man killed when dozens of shots fired outside Beaver County apartment building

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A man was killed when dozens of shots were fired early Friday morning outside an apartment building in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Police were called around 12:30 a.m. to the Valley Terrace Apartments on Superior Avenue. The shooting happened in a parking lot behind the building, and people who live in the area said it sounded like a war zone.

The victim was identified as Gamal Rodgers, 27, of Aliquippa. He was found lying in the parking lot and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are searching for the shooter, but they need people to come forward with tips. Anyone with information is asked to call state police in Butler.
