Man killed when tractor-trailer crashed into stopped cars on I-70

SOUTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man died Wednesday after a tractor-trailer crashed into vehicles that were stopped on Interstate 70 in South Huntingdon Township.

Dillon Walton’s car was stopped with multiple vehicles on I-70 east when the tractor-trailer hit them from behind shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office.

Walton, 27, of New Stanton Borough, suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner said.
