ALLEGHENY CO., Pa. — A woman had her entire paycheck stolen inside a store in Allegheny County, and it was all caught on surveillance video.

Debbie Jordan told Channel 11 she had just cashed her $420 paycheck and had it all in an envelope when she walked into Nic’s Tobacco in White Oak -- where she has worked for more than a decade.

Jordan dropped the envelope, and as soon as she did, a man with a U.S. Marines logo on his face mask picked it up and stuck it in his back pocket.

“I wanted to kill him (when I saw the video),” Jordan said. “It meant everything to me, I live pay to pay basically. It was a great loss.”

Shawn Potts, the store manager’s son, turned to social media for help once he heard what happened to Jordan. He posted the surveillance footage, asking the online community to identify the man who snatched the money.

Even White Oak Police got involved, posting photos of the suspected thief. And it worked because he later turned himself in.

Police said because this is an ongoing investigation, they have not released the name of the suspect. However, they confirmed he returned the money.
